These terms apply to your use of nolongersmartest.org, a personal blog operated by Ted LeRoy. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The site is free. Everything published here is available at no cost. There is no paid tier, no members only archive, and nothing withheld behind a payment. Subscribing to the newsletter is optional and exists solely so that new posts reach your inbox rather than relying on you to check back.

Subscriptions

You may subscribe by giving an email address and confirming it via the link sent to that address. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.

Please subscribe only with an address you control. I reserve the right to remove any subscriber record, including addresses that appear to have been submitted by automated means or without the knowledge of the person who owns them.

Unless stated otherwise, the writing on this site is my own and I retain copyright in it.

Disagreement is not a reason for removal. Being unpleasant about it is.

This is commentary, not advice

This site publishes analysis and commentary on artificial intelligence, its risks, and its governance. It is written in good faith, I try to stay close to what is demonstrable, and I try to say plainly when I am speculating.

It is not professional, technical, legal, financial, or security advice, and it should not be used as the basis for any decision that matters. Views expressed here are mine alone and not those of any employer or organization I am associated with.

Accuracy and availability

The subject matter moves quickly. Posts reflect my understanding at the time of writing and may be out of date by the time you read them. I may correct or update posts, and where a correction is material I will say so rather than quietly editing.

The site is provided as it is. I do not guarantee that it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of error.

Links to other sites

Posts link to external sources frequently, which is the point of citing sources. I do not control those sites and am not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or privacy practices.
